Texas police are investigating after an InfoWars reporter Jamie White was killed in Austin on Sunday night.
InfoWars founder Alex Jones said on Monday that reporter Jamie White was “brutally murdered” around midnight.
According to FOX 7 Austin, this was the city’s eighth murder of 2025. It happened in a residential area on Douglas Street in South Austin.
Details of Jamie White Murder case
According to the report, Austin police arrived at the scene and found a man with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital but did not survive.
InfoWars said it was very sad to share the news of Jamie White’s death.
“We are deeply saddened to report that InfoWars reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight on Sunday. We believe this happened, in part, because of the policies of Austin District Attorney Jose Garza,” the statement said.
“We promise that Jamie’s death will not be for nothing. Therefore those responsible for this terrible crime will be brought to justice,” the statement continued. “Jamie’s important work will live on through InfoWars, our readers, and our listeners.”
Crime in Austin: A Growing Concern?
In August 2024, people living in the Montopolis neighborhood told KVUE-TV that crime was increasing, and they were worried about their safety.
“It gives me chills to hear eight, nine, or ten gunshots—just bam, bam, bam. Where are those bullets going?” one resident said. “I don’t want to get shot while sleeping in my bed.”
Furthermore Alex Jones said that a journalist from his website, InfoWars, was killed near his Texas apartment in what police believe was a murder.
On Monday afternoon, Jones said in a broadcast that Jamie White, his “best” reporter, was “brutally murdered” late Sunday night near his home in Austin.
Police Investigation and Latest Updates
He blamed Austin’s Democratic district attorney and other Democrats for not controlling crime. Jones said they were “helping” criminals and even called them “demons.”
City police have not confirmed Jamie White’s death.Moreover they only said that they got an emergency call at 11:57 p.m. on Sunday and found a man with serious injuries. He later died at a nearby hospital.
Officials did not respond to questions from The Independent. So far, only InfoWars has reported White’s identity, but the website has a history of making false claims.
Alex Jones Reacts to Jamie White Death News
In his broadcast, Alex Jones blamed local Democratic leaders, including Austin District Attorney José Garza, for reducing police funding and not keeping dangerous criminals in jail.
Alex Jones shared the sad news in a post on X.
“I have really horrible news for the InfoWars family and the world,” he said.
“Many great people have worked at InfoWars over the years, and one of the best was Jamie White. Jamie was murdered last night outside his home, just a few miles from our studios,” Jones said.
He added, “This morning, we sent some people to check on him when he didn’t answer his phone. He was always early, loved his work, fought against tyranny, and supported freedom. When they arrived at his apartment complex, they saw yellow police tape everywhere and blood in the parking lot.”
Jones thanked the police for responding quickly and said InfoWars staff were sent home to grieve. He did not guess who might have killed White or why.
However, he said, “I blame this completely on these district attorneys, the Soros crime group, and the Democratic Party.”
Austin District Attorney José Garza was elected in 2020 with support from a political group funded by billionaire George Soros. Soros donates to progressive causes but is also often the target of conspiracy theories.
Since his election, Garza has been criticized by InfoWars and billionaire Elon Musk, who reportedly tried to remove him from office but failed.
